Birmingham Magicians

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of this, but here's the perfect slogan for the ABA's newest team, the Birmingham Magicians - - "Now you see us; now you don't!"

I'm fairly excited about the ABA coming to Birmingham. With all that goes on with that league, if the Magicians stink then we can at least watch the circus know ans the ABA.

I assume the Birmingham owner is trying to play off the old "magic city" designation Birmingham recieved way back the '70's. I think it's a decent name but the logo wasn't very inspiring.

I doubt the Magic City Court Kings of the World Basketball Association will be around next year, however. I went to their first game and was unimpressed in every way. They've also moved out of the State Fair arena (which is actualy a nice facility) to a small college's arena in a part of town that is very hard to get to.

With that name, it won't be hard to answer if anybody asks why a game was not played or the opponent is not the one listed on the schedule or ticket. :wink:
