We are definitly not stable, and I think everyone knows this. We should not have to be worrying about half the league team's futures.

Every other Indy league has one, two, maybe even three NEW TEAMS entering and BRAND NEW STADIUMS being built.

NEW TEAMS: Not teams from other leagues. Not folded teams moving. Brand new franchises.

NEW STADIUMS: Not some 60 yr old, metal and wood built mess. A brand new 5000 seat park with boxes and outfield seats.

We need both of these soon....very soon. Without these, we know the league is not confident in expanding because of its future.

The very first indie league, the Frontier League, just a couple of weeks into their inaugural season had two of their eight teams fold. Not encouraging. Today, they still exist and flourish with twelve teams. Only two of those are charter members from that first 1993 season. Three of those teams were established since the 2007 season.

Stable? Not really with something like 20 teams coming and going over the years. There's even a current team that will move for next year and two new expansion teams, one in 2010 and another in 2011.

You want new franchises for the Can-Am? There's always Montreal waiting in the wings. Too bad about Atlantic City, another feather in the league's cap. Ottawa should be back soon. There doesn't need to be new stadiums built. Ottawa's is only 16 years old. Quebec and T-R are old but apparently very nice, haven't been there yet.

If the FL has survived for 16 years, I think the Can-Am can do the same. There will be ups and downs along the way for sure. I'm not all that worried.
