Well the playoffs are under way and the Vipers have taken a commanding lead over my Capitals 2 games to none. In the south Tuscon is up 1 game on the Roadrunners. I personally can see Calgary taking out Edmonton in 4 games, with Tuscon winning there series, and seeing Calgary win the GBL beating Tuscon in 4 games.

Well Calgary will be representing the North in the finals..... so lets hope you are right in the rest of your predictions!! The Caps gave them a good run for their money. This last game was a nail biter for sure!

It was pretty dissappointing to see Pearson blow it in the 9th... but that's baseball. The best team won the series without a doubt, and with the powerful offence the Vipers have they should have no problem in the final. Best of luck to the Vipers players, management/staff, and the fans:wink :.

E-Town you must be psychic!!! The Snakes are up 2 games over the Bulls and returning home to Viperville even as we speak! Thinking (hoping) that it is a clean sweep. lol

Congrats to the Vipers on a great season, this may have been the best team to date to have won the GBL Championship. Should be an interesting off season throughout the league with the potenial of Kamloops joining the fold, along with a few other cities. Rumour around Edmonton is that manager Brent Bowers has a few offers on the table from a few Major League organizations, one being the Yankees.

What a weekend of extreme highs and lows for Vipers fans here in Calgary.
Game three was just "one of those games" where the Vipers just couldn't hit the ball into a gap - and then on Saturday, they were hitting all the gaps.
Can someone else who was in attendance confirm this for me... Sergio Pedroza's grand slam in game four was the hardest/fastest/furthest hit ball I've ever seen at Foothills. It was like it was shot out of a gun. I was sitting on the right-field side so it was hard for me to judge, but how close was that monster shot to being foul?
Don't get me wrong, I love hockey, pro football (CFL > NFL), and major league baseball - but as a sports fan, Saturday night at Foothills Stadium was as good as it gets for me. I've seen the Vipers play live more than all my other favourite teams, and they've got a good bunch of players that you genuinely want to root for.
I've got some videos (the on-field party, the award/trophy presentations) and pictures on the link that's in my signature here. Feel free to browse 'em.

Good to see some of the Vipers getting picked up for the post season in the Atlantic League. Raul Gonazlez - Long Island Ducks, Mac Suzuki - Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, Isacc Hess - Newark Bears. Best of luck to all for trying to capture 2 indy league titles in 1 year.
