Former NHLer Dennis Hextall was named the "new" Commissioner of the IHL
on Wednesday, Sept. 2. He replaces Paul Pickard who resigned last spring
and moved his team (Kalamazoo) to the ECHL. Hextall will take the reigns
immedietly. The IHL starts play in October with 7 teams for 2009-10 & 8-10
teams expected for 2010-11, Evansville being one..
