don't see how this has any bearing whatsoever on Joe Newman and his mis-management of the ABA.
this is a slippery slope to be going on, and can't end well.
funny you will post this, but will not post any of the 'hundreds' of emails you have been privvy to - redact the names and put them out there, at least they have something to do with the ABA

As someone who sits on the outside appreciating such a deep passion for minor league basketball, I am amazed that A1 calls out individuals without as much as a warning to keeping the message pertaining to hoops. It wasn't but a few posts earlier where he mentioned Old School Baller as Tony by name...but if someone mentions A1 as Sev or Tom, oh the poop hits the fan!
A1, you have a great passion for the promotion of the PBL and in most instances a pure hatred for what Joe Newman stands for. You drop a few statments that have turned true and keep these boards entertaining. Just like everyone has a right to post, keep Tony's stuff separate before someone in his front office gets threatened.

I didnt invite nor force tony to come onto the boards here. he came on himself, of his own free will. He could have taken the high road but:
1. He started right off with saying the judgment not meaning anything
2. He follows by endorsing Joes e mails regarding PBL owners as mafia assiaciated. He Could have posted..I told Joe to stop or thats Joes opinion not mine.
3. He Knows that Joe sent misinformation to ABA owners about the judgment.
4. He thows the stats guy under the bus.
Had the chance to come on here differently, Didnt do it. BUT had the time to post that he is cocky and will win...at basketball. Try winning in life and doing the right thing.
It sure does pertain to basketball, the new leader to be, Does he pay his taxes? I have to and do and so do many others. Dont get on here and throw stones when your in a glass "basement" At least TRY to be above board.
I can post other "things" but started with a mild 400,000 dollar tax lein, (PUBLIC RECORD) maybe Tony paid that "one"...maybe he didnt. Looking for integrity from a future leader, still cant find it.
Maybe next Ill post Joes filing for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in 2008 and then getting dismissed or getting discharged, which is it?, an attorney is trying to figure that move out.
Birds of a feather ?, shall more players suffer and more people getting taken advantage off continue in the future?

Sounds peachy, I guess I didn't go through the rest of the ABA drivel to know much about the guy or his posts.
My point was that Carrie was threatened when people started posting information last year that you were so-and-so, and now we are calling people out by name (and sounds like stupidity), which can only lead to unfortunate problems.
Will the ABA ever really go away? Will this lawsuit really be worth it at the end of the day? I am not going through the ABA message site line-by-line as much since there is so much high energy crap posted.

A1 has been chastised for his post in this very thread and the admonitions about not calling him Tom or Sev have nothing to do with keeping the topic on basketball and everything to do with someone IRL being threatened the last time someone did that.
Frankly, I think what A1 did here is appalling and below the belt. But two other people had already chastised him about it, so I didn't pipe in.
This whole "A1 can do this but I can't do that" argument is also pretty childish, IMO. You think A1 is wrong for putting this up, say so. But don't complain that when you do something that some think is out of line other people give you flak.

What you just said was complete jibberish.
I am dumbfounded as to what, "But don't complain that when you do something that some think is out of line other people give you flak." means. I am not complaining, just making a comment. No one has given me flak because there isn't so much of an ounce to give me flak for.
If you read, or re-read, A1 backed up his statements just fine...like a big boy. I was fine with his answer and my statement still stands.
Are you just a tad bit sensitive to this subject or what?

I responded to your post before reading the rest of the thread. I do that. Sue me.
IMO, you were complaining. YMMV.
I'm not sensitive at all. I just do not wish for any people IRL to get accosted because of message board stupidity. YMMV.

I think the issue here is transparency.
Tony Chase comes on here, and identifies himself as such, which sends a certain select group here scurrying for anything that can be dug up. Yet the 'select group' does not provide the same transparency when it comes to their own backgorunds, making any similar attempts to find skeletons next to impossible.
Those that come here with only a user ID catch flak for not coming clean as to their name and motives (except OldFoolBaller - he dug his own grave with every keystroke). Those that DO identify themselves face the possibility of a public pillorying when someone finds anything they can on them.
I just don't see the point to this - should we post credit reports next? Divorce judgments? Political donations? Real estate transactions? What sort of information in this vein is relevant to the ABA?
A lot of the crap discussed here about Joe and his finances relates in some way to the fees collected/stock/team payments/etc. - so I can see the link.
This posted notice pre-dates any of Tony's involvement with the ABA (I believe), and should not, I think, have any bearing on what he is doing or will do going forward. Especially without having the whole story available.
In my opinion, this thread can start these boards down a path that was never the intent of OSC to be travelled.
