This was an owner who wanted to look only ahead, and not back at the problems the league had. Very vocal in support of the ABA and the upcoming season.
Now they are out. I guess the new, improved league requirements weren't to their liking???

Thats two teams out so far and looks like a third is tring to get out (Long Beach Jam). Hummmmmm....

We are not comfortable with the current direction of the ABA, and do not feel their path is conducive with long term success & stability.
First off, it's "conducive to," not "conducive with," but they're right.
It looks like people are finally starting to wise up.
Of course, Joe will now say that the same people who were great owners when they were introduced are no-good louts who the league is better off without anyway.

When oh when will we hear the last of this windbag Sam Hill. Christ,.....this guy has an opinion on everything minor league basketball but....I don't know......he just has no freaking idea what he is talking about. I am sure OSC will delete this because he is one of their butt buddies, but as a CBA owner I can tell you Sam Hill is a complete, ill informed jackass.

I'm still waiting for you to answer the question I posed last time you came around - what, exactly, have I gotten wrong? If I'm so misinformed, I'm sure there are tons of things I'm just wrong about, right? Doesn't it stand to reason that if I'm so wrong all the time, it should be simple for you to point out things I've said that are wrong, that I'm misinformed about, right?
So go ahead. I'm waiting. We'd all love to see you put your incredible written communication skills to work.

Instead of just bashing Sam (still not sure why), add to the discussion.
You made a comment elsewhere about the USBL's failures - make more like that.
You are doing exactly what you accuse Sam of doing - perpetuating your image as a pompous windbag who, instead of facts or even informed opinions, posts rambling rips of other members...

barkley34, I am 99.9% certain you have absolutely no affiliation with the CBA as you claim. I do and there is no owner that I know of that would have the time to slam someone for their opinion on a message board, especially when Sam Hill's opinions are usually supportive of the CBA and condemn the other leagues that are giving true 2nd level professionfal basketball a bad name.
If you are truly a CBA owner, I ask you to send me a private message and prove yourself. If you are not, then stop pretending to be and making false claims.

I have no issues with the CBA. None. As far as I'm concerned, they're light-years ahead of the rest of the leagues.
I'm still waiting to hear about everything I've gotten wrong.
From my halfway informed point of view...Sam Hill is closer to the truth than a lot of you want to believe...

I agree. I think most people here do as well. For those vocal few who do not, refute his claims instead of posting those "witty" insults...
