minor league salaries

ok sorry about these but me and my pops have been having some argue ments except for the nhl how much do people get paid in these league like all of them even including major junior where they get paid

Not sure exactly on the minor leagues. Although I do recall reading about one LA Kings player who stood to make $300,000 in the NHL, but the downside of his contract said he'd make $50,000 in the AHL. As for the Major Junior leagues in Canada, the players make a paltry $50/week per diem. For $50/week these players are banned from participating in NCAA hockey. How is this fair? Don't NCAA football players get given at least this between the end of the regular season and bowl games to "go home" for Christmas? Seems sad to me that some of the best players from the CHL are forced to play college hockey in Canada and never get a second look from the NHL.

The AA leagues (CHL, UHL, ECHL), pay about $200 to $500 a week. (ECHL players may make a little more if they are under an NHL minor-league contract). I couldn't tell you what an SPHL player makes.
