it is nice that it is online and i can watch it....however the constant lagging of the video gets annoying when you can't watch 1 play before it lags.
Considering that its free.. I dont think that you can really complain. Most leagues dont offer live feeds and if they do, THEY CHARGE! Our league is one of just a few that are trying to provide the service for us to watch without charging for it. Did you enjoy the game? I hope so, because I sure did!!

I could hide behind the free card, but there's no point in that... (but thank you mace for pointing it out.)
Our goal was to put on a webcast that was better than anything ever done in indoor football, and I think we were successful at that... at least before it hit the internet. Considering this was only the second broadcast under our new streaming system, we're still very much in "beta" mode. Combine that with some lagging connection issues at the Smugglers' Den, and I had myself a second half filled with technical challenges. :)
I've definitely heard from more than a few that the video was buffering every play or two, but I've also heard from more than a couple that there weren't any issues (except for the ~90 seconds where the feed completely died).
We'll continue to try to hammer out the issues and get things working the way they should be. If you watched the broadcast, I'd love to hear your version of how it went - shoot me an e-mail at webmaster@southernifl.com. Save the talk about the content of the broadcast, please... I'm really only interested in feedback about how the feed worked.
In 2010, we'll have at least two teams (the Turfcats and the Bucs) webcasting their home games, and my goal is to actually webcast all of the Turfcats games - home and away - next season. And yes - we're definitely going to do everything we can to avoid charging for these broadcasts. I can't guarantee it, but I think we have a valuable product that corporate partners from around the league will be interested in that will help keep it that way. We just need to solidify a couple of things and start talking to them about it.
So, on behalf of everyone that helped put this broadcast together - Scott and Cason, myself, Lexie and Dan down on the field... thanks for watching.

I watched about half of the game and thought you guys did a great job with the webcast. Thanks for offering it to us free of charge!

I didn't have any lag issues, but I was also watching in the fourth quarter when a lot of the viewers were probably already gone.
Good fight, good night.
