I assume you mean the North Shore Spirit, who play in Lynn, MA?

They will play their first season in the new Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball, or the Can-Am league for short.

The Can-Am is basically the same league as the Northeast League that they played in last year.

Nope, never been there. The Can-Am is independent. None of their teams have any connection to the majors, just like the Northern, Frontier, Atlantic, Northern, Central and Golden Leagues. It's a league of "has beens", "never weres" and "might be's". Still, it's pretty entertaining to watch. I've been to games in the Frontier League, Atlantic League and (the formerly independent and now defunct) Canadian Baseball League. I liked them as much, and in some cases more, than the affiliated minor league games I have seen.
