I don't know about everyone else.... but it sure looked like the Conquerors were wearing the Hurricanes uniforms... I could be wrong, but if I'm right.... that's a poor move and I can't understand why. I mean they have their own uniforms... right?

The live stream didn't give me a good enough look to tell - lol

Houma was wearing white uni's and the Hurricanes only had dark ones I believe.

The video looked like the view from an airplane and all you could tell is white.
The camera being moved from the corner to mid-field for SIFL BOWL I should be most excellent - lol

I never said I watched it on video, try reading the press releases on the SIFL and you'll get a HUGE 5x7 photo from the story, there you can see the jerseys that Houma used and compare it to Tx home uni's and Houma's other road uni... and it's obvious

Here is the confirmation.

http://www.sulphurdailynews.com/sports/x1678044298/SIFL-looking-at-bright-future

The Houma Conquerors were the last franchise to experience problems, but they had apparently been in motion before the 2009 season even started.

“(Houma) went into default immediately,” Hager said on the Conquerors issues. “(Franklin Thomas) had not paid his membership fee in full and to this day he claims he has a team in the SIFL.

“I was just reading that he is going to part ways with the SIFL.”

Hager stated that the Thomas was not present in Lake Charles for the Conquerors playoff game on July 20. Thomas didn’t send jerseys for his players to wear during the playoff game and thanks to a contingency plan by the SIFL, the Houma players had jerseys for their contest against the Swashbucklers.

What does the picture have to do with your original post about Hurricane uniforms? I don't believe the Hurricanes had white or black uni's.
I was at 3 Hurricane games, both home and road, this is the only jersey they ever wore. I don't believe the new ownership purchased 2 sets of uni's for a partial season.

Is this the picture you intended to post?

And here's the Texas Pirates dark & white uniforms (before becoming the Hurricanes)

You've got me all sorts of confused now - lol

The picture you posted looks like the white Houma Conquerors jersey while playing the Bayou Bulls.

Caballo - Check out all the photos on the action sports photo site. http://www.actionsportsphoto-la.com/

The jerseys the Conquerors are wearing are different from the away jerseys the team wore though out the season. And the shoulder stripes and number styles match the Hurricanes home or dark jerseys. Combined with the statement in the article about Mr. Franklin not sending the jerseys for the teams playoff game, it sure makes me think those were the Hurricanes away jersey.
I don't see the big deal though.

It's not a big deal, just wondering which photo he was talking about. the one he posted the Conquerors were wearing their own jerseys. I've seen the Hurricanes play at home and on the road and have never seen them wear a white jersey. When they came to Austin we had to wear our white road jerseys because the Hurricanes only had dark ones.

I was aware of the problems with franklin, he tried to force Houma to forfiet their last game and was being a real a$$. Not sending jerseys was just another one of his adolescent tantrums.

The SIFL pulled the Bayou Bulls out of their hat on short notice when the Crunch had transportation problems. Finding jerseys for Houma to wear is just another fine example of the the league office doing a great job, once again.

I had never been to the Swashbucklers photo page, it still didn't answer the question of who's they were. I can't tell what the logo is on the front of the jersey, but the Texas Jersey says Hurricanes across the front much larger than this logo/word so I still don't think it's Hurricane jerseys. The Hurricane dark jerseys don't have a wide area of a differing color on the shoulder pads like the ones Houma was wearing. They must have borrowed the entire uniform because the shoulder stripe matches the pants. Maybe the league was ready for this and had some made or borrowed before hand.

I remember an af2 game where the visiting team left their uniforms boxed up in the parking lot as the bus rolled out and had to borrow some when they hit town.
