Anybody remember? I believe the ValleyDawgs set it a few years ago and it's around 4900.

Kansas Cagerz are going to attempt to break the mark on Monday with a general admission ticket giveaway.

Huey thats an easy one......6100 and change for the 2000 Oklahoma Storm. Cedar Rapids had 5900 and change for their home opener last season. The Sea Dragons had 6000 or so in 2000 also...

Hope it helps....

Thanks, DT. I was hoping you might check in. I wonder where the Cagerz are getting 4,900 as the record.

EDIT: I found it -- 6,132. That's a crapload of people.

The Storm had a pack the house night in 2000 and drew the 6100 plus number, which everybody who was there tells me is a legit number. That was at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center, which is where the Storm will play all of their home games this season (seating has been knocked down to about 3800 with a curtain in the arena).

What has been the largest crowd for a Cagerz game? I seem to remember being in there one time when there was over 4000...I may be wrong though...

I haven't found the numbers for the first two seasons, but the biggest one since 2001 was 2834 for Kareem's first visit in 2002.

I seem to remember the Cagerz going over the 4,000 mark on two occasions. One was during 1999 season, and the other was a game vs. Dodge City in 2000. I don't know where the Cagerz thought the league record was 4,900. PA, FL, OK, and Cedar Rapids all exceeded those totals. When the Storm broke the record, I believe it was the Sea Dragons record that they broke.

Good luck Monday night on the record attempt.

I found a box score from 2000 that shows a game vs. Washington that had a 5000+ total. That was a while back, but I seem to recall it being a weeknight and maybe there was a $1 or $2 ticket special.
