If you are a SIFL or just a football fan in general, then Monday night is going to be a special special game. My name is SuperBuc and I do the podcast for the Swashbucklers. Monday night is going to culminate a fantastic 1st year for the SIFL and how fitting is this. 2 time IFL Champions Louisana Swashbucklers vs Austin Turfcats. This game will not be a blow out and will probably come down to the final quarter. I am not going to get all in details about the best offense and the best defense. But I will say this...not only is the President's Cup is on the line but Austin has the chance to make history (again) by not only being the 1st team in 2 years to beat the bucs but to also to be the 1st team to win in the smugglers den in 3 years!!! Both teams will be chompin at the bits to get to one another and I can verify that Swashbucklers are ever so ready. I had the pleasure of doin the interview with Coach Lee last night and he told me he made sure that the Bucs didnt look past Houma (by the way...I have tons of respect for Houma and thier fans...even when the game was decided they still was rowdy and cheered their team til the very end!) cause they want the Turfcats bad. One team dominated the polls for players of the week. One team dominated the polls for all sifl team. You have both coaches that are in the top 2 for coach of the year. A lot of storylines that will come to a head on Monday. Bring your family. Bring your popcorn. Bring your spirit. Bring your team pride. Cause Monday night will be a very intense and special night from beginning to end.

I agree... Houma did a great job and I am sure that next year they will have a real shot. But this year its ALL ABOUT the CATs and the BUCs!! Monday, its is almost sad to know that the field will determine a winner between these warriors. Just know that there arent any losers, EVERYONE wins... players, franchises, and the fans!

Agreed, this is more than Championship week. It's the culmination of a great inaugrual year that wil be celebrated by two worthy teams on the field.

Both teams need to hold their heads high and stand proud for what they've acomplished this season.

A huge thanks to the SIFL front office and all franchises that accepted the challenge and risks of being part of start up league, especially during such tough economic times. It's difficult to be a fan without a team/league, thank you so much for giving us some great football to follow.

Thank you to all of the players, the game doesn't pay much and it can be difficult to fit in practice and weekends when you've got full time jobs and families to care for. It's been exciting getting to know many of you and watch you perform.

Best of luck to both teams and let's pray for an inury free game.

But I do have to agree with ALL parties here... this is going to be a good game, but I do think that with the EXP. that the bucs have, and the UNBELIEVABLE home field advantage... the Bucs pull this off with a 4th quarter runaway. But I think that it will be close up until then.
