Madison Ice Muskies join Midwest Hockey League
Twin Lakes Hockey Partners, LLC is excited to be bringing professional hockey to Madison, Wisconsin as the Madison Ice Muskies will join the Midwest Hockey League.
The Ice Muskies will play their home games at Hartmeyer Ice Arena beginning in November 2009.
John Rudolph, President of Twin Lakes Hockey Partners, LLC, will oversee the day- to- day operations of the Ice Muskies. The hockey department can be reached at 608-807-6633 and at www.Icemuskies.com.
“We’re very excited to be bringing professional hockey back to the Madison area”, said Rudolph. “Madison has a rich tradition for hockey and we feel the Ice Muskies will provide a fun and exciting experience for the community to enjoy.”
The MWHL will operate the 2009-2010, as it’s inaugural season. The hockey league will play at the “A” level with teams in Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. Wade Stuckey has been appointed league Commissioner; Matt Crawford will serve as the league Vice President & Director of Operations and Mike Wallin is the Director of Media Relations.
"Our intention is to bring professional hockey back to solid, under-utilized markets. We wish to work with local youth organizations and the hockey that is already in place, said Stuckey.” We are very excited to bring pro hockey back to Madison. No one is going to unseat the Badgers. We are not going to try. We believe that Madison is a very strong hockey market and that there will be enough interest to support both organizations."
Ticket prices will range from $4 for children to $8 for adults. Discounts for season tickets, family packs and flex packs are also available.
