I would just like to say thanks to the Battle Creek Ownership and the great fans of Battle Creek and it was more than three.
I was a asst. Coach in Battle Creek for three and the owners were great people and great to work for. As I have sat and read this board for over the past year I just want everyone to know that Battle Creek was a great place to be.
Battle Creek also paid all there players and Coach on time and what they said they were going to pay them every week. Also this past year the player did get payed better than most teams. They got furnish house or apt with most of all there bills paid we had four to five food place that they could go and eat for free. So it was a good place for them to play
By the way some posted that one the players stole something from one of the apt that is not true. There was somethings missing but they caught the person who broke in and it was not one of the players.
The Owner also did alot of other great things for they never had to do giving players extra money if they needed help them get there cars fixed for nothing and always made sure player had a ride for what every they need for.
They never told us anything that they did not do.
For the champinship game I know for a fact they we had a arena and a date set for the game we should have played also we had it set up so they could show the game on TV if needed. We also had over 600 tickets sold for the game before the date was set that was between single ticket holders and sponsor. The thing I want people to know the game couls of been played in Battle Creek. The league came up with any and everything do they could have it in New York.
Also the team we took they was not what we played with most of the year. There was two starters and our six man did not make plus Tino who was One of our big forces down low and he could of played if he wanted to. He was ok to play with from the coach in mexico thats a fact also.
Rodchester was a great team I take nothing away from them but they did not play the Battle Creek that finished 18-2 I am not saying that we would have beat them in a three game series but I know we were 10 and 0 at home and played alot better at home.
There was alot of reason the league told us why the game had to be played in New York but knwn of it made any sense to me just my opinion. Also they told ownership they would get some extra money which never came than the next thing I hear the league tell us that we are not getting to play next year in the PBL.

I just want to say thanks again to Battle Creeks ownership you are men of your words and great people thanks for letting me coach for you

I am not sure what the purpose of this post is, as far as the championship game is concerned. If you read this board you will know that majority of the posters on here took the pbl to task about this. They were ripped by almost everyone here.

I know battle creek did a good job of taking care of their players. I know the battle creek coaches are good guys (a little emotional when they coach), but overall decent guys.

Now that being said, there is a very defensive crowd on this board when it comes to the pbl, and criticism. And it spills over into the moderators as well.

I was the biggest supporter of the pbl on this board when this league started. But as soon as I dare say something that is perceived as negative, the back lash is truly unprecedented on this board, led by a-1 and others. Whats funny about that is, 90 percent of my post over the years have been positive about this league.

I am not sure why they think they are above being questioned, but I will continue to address things that I think are not right, cause that is my right.

They need to remove their thin skin if they truly want to progress, and you moderators need to look in the mirror and be fair. Because the stuff that is said about other leagues are far far worse.

Communism didn't work remember? Let's be open to other points of view. Even if they might be harsh.

The only reason for my post is to show my support for Battle Creek, and after reading a few things on the board that bothered me.

I agree 100% with all bets to nobody's surprise and Battle Creek was ran the right way from top to bottom. I can't wait until they return and I will miss them. Go Knights.

What does a photo of Yakov Smirnoff have to do with this? :)

It was in response to Not So Fast's comment: "Let's be open to other points of view. Even if they might be harsh."

My point being, be careful what you ask for -- you might get someone like Ahmadinejad spouting his version of world history. On a serious note, I heard that the Wreckers had approached 'dina' (as they like to call him) about a coaching position. Apparently, he likes to wipe opponents from the face of the earth.

That post had an ABA press release quality.

wellington,
I think you missed the subtle humor. That's not a photo of Yakov Smirnoff.
