There was a topic here about a sponsorship deal gone awry, but the poster obviously pulled the topic before I could submit my response. Maybe the team GM read the post and fixed the problem with the sponsor. I don't know, but I set my little brain in motion to reply to the post so here goes:
What would I do? --in regards to a team shorting me on our sponsorship agreement
First, I would make sure that I had a better working relationship with the team. Make sure you are on a first name basis with everyone in the front office and then learn as much as you can (within reason) about front office operations. It becomes more difficult for them to attempt deception when you demonstrate certain knowledge of their inner-workings.
Second, if I received the negative response you received then I would invite all my free-spending relatives (mainly in-laws) to every home game and make sure that the first name basis front office staff knew that I was putting extra butts in seats. Of course, while I was doing all of this I would pretend that the sponsorship snafu did not upset me.
...of course, I would pretend like I wasn't upset until it becomes time for sponsorship and season ticket renewal. That's when I would spring on them, Remember me?
Well, that's what I would do.
