Question for Miners fans

I just noticed a press release from the East Ky Miners, which gave the summary of the Durham Bulls Baseball team beating Columbus. My question, what is the connection with the Miners?

Right now there really isn't an EK Miners team, so I find it kinda doubtful they're putting out press releases right now.

Hey Pikeville, what league are the Miners headed to? I heard the ABA, but I didn't know for sure.
I just hope they land on their feet, the Miners were a decent franchise the first year then the downturn came. Hope they come back strong.

I'm glad to hear the Miners are returning, but the ABA?? I think they would do better in the PBL, but whatever.
I actually have mixed emotions about them returning, seeing that they remind me of the Xplosion and the rivalry that we had(though you had more fans then we had).

The release was mis-assigned on OSC. "East Kentucky Miners" comes up right after "Durham Bulls" in a menu. It was fixed shortly after it happened.

Hey them were some good games there psbf...but yeah coming back aba...i would have rather seen them back in the pbl too...but not up to me...congrats on getting that new team in Pitt (psbf). I've not heard much about the GPBL but looks fine to me...LOL...

Thanks, Pikevilleout. But I'm trying to learn as much about the team and league as I can, before I invest into them. I still have fresh memories of the Xplosion and my memories of the Piranhas.
As far as your Miners, it's not out of your hands, if the owners are willing to listen to their fans(as they should). Voicing your concerns is important as any good owner knows. The team is yours and you should have a say in it. Never take anything for granted!
