San Antonio coach's statement

Does the statement attributed to the new San Antonio GM/coach make sense to anyone? Aside from some incomplete sentences which don't say anything, the last sentence mystifies me.

New GM/Head Coach LaShun McDaniel is a Gary, Indiana native. I understood every word he said (or every word he meant to say) because he was using standard Region speak (yeah, Region speak is almost identical to Chicago speak). I mean, come on you's guys. Haven't chew seen movies like Robin and His Seven Hoods and The St. Valentine's Day Massacre? Why begin a sentence with, Whether you are a GM, coach, or player when you can substitute either for whether--place it near the middle and make the sentence longer and more awkward than it needs to be? It's da' Chicago way...include the movie The Untouchables also.

We DO, however, remember to actually open a quotation when we decide to close a quotation (unlike the beforementioned press release).
