I was reading the freestanley.com website and it got me thinking, why is there no NCAA/CIS title game for hockey? I think since the levels of play are generally equal that this tournament would be interesting. It could be a 4 team event with the finalists of each playing off to see who is the best team in North American college hockey.

The NCAA doesn't want to punt their image as the best competition at its level errrrrrrrrr wants to protect the integrity of the student-athlete by reducing demands on the athlete's precious study time.

Yeah I guess that makes sense, but why allow Army to face the Royal Military College every year then? I guess in a sense this is what the World University Games are for.
