I was at the Necks game against the ICE this weekend. The Ice arn't a bad team, but the Necks handed the game to them. Final Score 60-50 BUT it could've easily been 70-35 the other way. Roughnecks QB Dennis Gile threw 3 ints and a very very costly fumble in the endzone in which he gave up on the play and basically handed the Ice 6 points instead of falling on it for 2 points. Very selfish play and showed why this team is 2-7 and officially out of the playoffs. The last 3seasons the Necks main problem has been ineffective QB play and I feel they need to look elsewhere again, and also...can someone tell me why the Record setting "Gun" came out of retirement to play in miss. and now is playing in El Paso and wouldn't come back to Odessa?? Obviously there's a cancer somewhere in the org.

Very selfish play and showed why this team is 2-7 and officially out of the playoffs. Understand its been a tough season but don't throw the towel in yet!!! Five games left on the schedule and only 1 1/2 games out of 3rd place!

Two games against the Hammerheads and one against the Stampede, there still is a chance!

Stampede have to play El Paso twice, the Hammerheads twice, and Omaha on the road!

Hopefully the players haven't given up like some of their fans have.

I havn't given up on my team. I played for them for 3 seasons and I will always be at the home games. But from what I've read, they are eliminated from the playoffs. Besides playoff spots arn't determined by position, it's by winning percentage.

Being that all teams play an equal number of games, winning percentage doesn't play a factor.

Top 3 teams in each division make the playoffs. Everyone plays 14 games, so the Roughnecks have 5 games remaining and only 1.5 games out of 3rd. So mathematically they are still in the hunt.

They probably need to win 4 of 5 to make it. Playing the teams ahead of them in the division to end the season is the best situation they could ask for! If they take care of themselves, their in, if they don't, then I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Spoke to coach, Necks need 3-5 to make it. Plus I was alittle hard on Gile, he did commit 4 to's but the D struggled all night...The d allowed around a hundred on the ground and another 3 or so in the air.
