Just like to let you know about the crisis occuring in British hockey right now.
A little off topic, but relevant to sports everywhere, first a little background, in Britain we have two top leagues the BNL and the Elite, the playing standard of the leagues is equivelent to your ECHL.
The Elite league has been trying to cherry pick teams from the BNL, teams which fit it's marketing modle, big arenas, big city teams, they offered deals to our BNL teams to join their league, but offered substantially better deals to the big city teams, knowing that the smaller teams would not be able to agree to the terms, now we have a situation where the owner of the top team in the BNL,has said he is quitting the sport, (the fans are trying to buy the club), another owner is seriously considering quitting the sport aswell, and the other clubs face the prospect of having no league to play in next season.
