Those out of town can follow the action several ways thanks to the Swashbucklers staff, SIFL staff and Franchise Sports MGMT. Saturday’s game will be streamed live on stickam. The link will be www.stickam.com/bucsfootball. You can follow “SIFLFootball” or “CoachSMB05” on Twitter for Bucs updates as well. For more information you can contact C.S. Director Scott Blanchard at sblanchard@southernifl.com

Nothing in place for this one tonight, but I've got a good source that tells me we'll have streaming audio up at Turfcats.com for at least all of the remaining Turfcat home games. :D Not messing with video at this point, unless I find the magical tree on which Internet bandwidth grows at the Expo Center.

The biggest challenge is that none of these arenas have Internet capabilities, with the exception of Lake Charles... so your best bet is mobile broadband. Fortunately the tech we're planning on using is light enough that we can make that work and still put out a quality product, as long as we can get a decent signal. Good thing the Turfcats have a string of three home games in a row to give us time to work the kinks out of the system.

I'm keeping the scoreboard on Turfcats.com updated as I get details and there are supposed to be updates on Twitter, on both the Turfcats account and the league account (SIFLfootball).

"Field issues" in Houma. Est 7pm kick.

Wouldn't they have known about these "field issues" before today... or did they wait until today to lay the field?

I finally got someone to respond on twitter.
The 5:00 kickoff is now expected to happen at 7:00 because of some type of field problem in Houma.

I understand this is early in the inaugural season but With all of technology it seems this info would be passed along without begging for it. If you expect fans to wait by the computer at least pass along info to keep them from saying ef-it and moving on to something else.

It's difficult to stay rational when the frustration of sitting in the dark is all consuming. :x

Check out the SIFL site.

Couldn't and wouldn't say anything until ALL the information was in place. Thank you.

Well the video wasn't what I expected but the audio went pretty good i think. Now that we know sort of how we are doing it we are trying to have two cameras for the next Bucs home game with Acadiana. Hopefully we have the wide angle but I am afraid it will drag to much to be as good as I would like. Anyway what did you guys think? What do I need to have for next game if possible? How was the actual calling and what do we need to improve on? other than the video obviously.

It would be cool if you had a camera on the field. maybe just show a pre-game interview talk with fans, and show the half time if you can't use it durring the game.

I love the chat portions of the program.

I have not seen your production but as someone who is in television, you should try a production camera or if you're shooting with a home cam get a zoom lens.

If the arena lights are good you should get a pretty good production, the second part is number of camera's. A one cam shoot should be as few tight shots as possible, if you do have a second cam make sure too have two angles of the action if possible low high or both high but from different levels.

Good luck and I hope this helps.
