RimRockers win 118-103. Surprised anyone?

Attendance: 14,989

Why wasn't this championship advertised on the ABA website? The All-
Star game got its own logo and coverage on ABAlive, but this
didn't. I'm guessing Mr. Crain will have to hire someone to design
the logo "ABA Champions."

Now....why were the Rimrockers so successful?

1)Management- we've heard this time and time again
2)Arkansans- if you slap "Arkansas" onto anything here, Arkansans
will support it. Especially when it's sports.

I'm watching the interview on KARK NBC News with Coach Joe Harge.
The RimRocker organization did Arkansans proud. He was talking
about Mr. Crain and how his resources enabled first class players
like Kareem Reid, Todd Day, and Oliver Miller. He also mentioned
how other ABA organizations were struggling to play at lesser venues
but because Mr. Crain's resources and the fans, staff, etc... the
Rimrockers thrived. It was really funny when he mentioned how
whenever they played visiting teams opposing players would come up
after the game and say, "Hey, coach, if you need another player..."
So, other players from other teams wanted to join the RR's.

I heard the awards ceremony on CSNsports. I'm not sure if Joe
Newman was there or not (he might have been the guy with a thick
accent who presented at the beginning, but I missed the name). I
still can't believe I didn't go to the game, just over an hour
away. I was going to do homework, but, I just listened instead.

I think it will be interesting where the RR's go from here. Will
they stay or will they go? I'll support their decision (it's a hell
of a lot easier when you're winning games of course).

The Arkansas RimRockers have been named to the list of 2005-2006 Who’s Who of New Businesses by the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.

Congratulations to the RimRockers-ownership, management, staff and players. You all set a great example for the rest of the ABA and all sports franchises to follow.

(Joe Newman does not speak with a accent.) I do have photos of Joe but don't know how to post them here.

Probably didn't make it to the game. Bus fare was too expensive!

Did he go to the All-Star game?

Also, how does the owner of the Vegas franchise get owner of the year? Shouldn't that go to a team with at least a little bit of success, on or off the court? Why not the Arkansas franchise? Only in this league....

I don't think Newman had anything to do with those releases, I think he is at least smart enough not to give the Rattlers any awards. :?

Although, since he trusted the Rattlers with the ABA All-Star game (with excerable results), you have to wonder.

I suspect ol' Joe picked owner of the year by pulling a name out of a hat...

"OK, I'm pulling a name out now... it's the Las Vegas Rattlers. Er... are they still in the league?"
