The Ft.Wayne Freedom showed some real promise in their opening
win over Marion. There was the usual first game jitters and mistakes.
But all-n-all a pretty good showing. Defense looks excellent and play-
ed better then the final score indicated. Mayhem's last touchdown
was scored on a pick six on the game's final play with the second
string Freedom "O" on the field. Ft.Wayne's defense never gave up
a touchdown till the 7:40 mark of the 3rd qtr. Offense will come around
but has many bright spots with a slew of real good receivers and a more
then capable "championship" honed QB in Hutchison. "O" line gives the
QB all kinds of time. Defense is ahead of the offense at this time of the
season, but that is normal. We'll see what the Freedom is really made
of, as the next 3 games are all on the road.
