What is the status of the 2010 Philadelphia MLS Expansion Team that is supposed to begin play on the waterfront in Chester, PA? Why little to no news? When do they ever plan to reveal the name and any news on what that maybe? I have read that the unofficial name is Zolos and that a group of supporters, known as "the sons of Ben," have unofficial colors of yellow and blue which the team had considered to use. I have also read that the current economic crunch has zapped the Phily owners fortune of 210 million down to 10? If that is true, is this team D.O.A. and may never play? It was a rumor that FC Barcelona who wanted to place a team in Miami would launch the Miami MLS club in 2010 if Phily was a no go...then the MLS wanted $40 Million expansion fees and the Miami bid was withdrawn. Now Commissioner Garber has expressed another round of expansion for 2012 with the current failed bids rekindled (i.e. Ottawa, St. Louis, Atlanta, Miami..New York may get another team; this time to play in the city...could it be the rebirth of the "COSMOS,")...but could this also be a result of a failed attempt to launch in Philadelphia? Any and all information is welcome. My lone opinion is that MLS is slowly resuming all of the old great NASL Franchises and my hope is that the 2010 expansion franchise will be the resurection of the Philadelphia Atoms.
