I have been trying to find them all season --it appears as if they play - but the paper does not cover them and the Fury's Website has no information on it - (other than a shell) and even the contact come back as no longer available --- what a shame I would have gone to several games if I could find out where they play and oh - yea -- when they play..

They made off with the million in profit and are sitting on a beach, earning 20%!

I live in Phoenix and remember one of the morning sports talk shows having someone (I think it was Joe Bryant, Kobe's dad) from the Fury on maybe last summer or fall, talking about their tryouts, but haven't seen a word about them anywhere since. I found this:
http://www.thephoenixfury.com/index.html
But that's about it. The Rhinos started to play in Prescott earlier this year but:
http://www.dcourier.com/main.asp?SectionID=2&subsectionID=2&articleID=63829
And I don't think they've resurfaced in Phoenix, or at least they aren't telling anyone about it.
That's all I know.

Joe should change the name of this league from the American Basketball Association to the Witness Protection Program Basketball League (WPPBL).
Teams simply operate under the radar and incognito.

Paul, you hit the nail in the head. The U.S. Marshal's Service needs to take a page out of Joes book, because the Witness Protection Program cannot protect the identities of their people as good as Joe does about his games and teams. However, I guess that comes with having about $45.87 available for your marketing budget, annually!

I was going to say "in an old Air Jordan shoebox on a dingy Tucson shelf."
Witness Protection Program Basketball League. Perfect!

The Fury....lol. ABA is dead in Arizona. May the Fury and Rhinos rest in peace.

You tell'em Sam. Thankfully Sam has all the insight.
See, all you seem to do is RESPOND to other peoples posts rather than post any substance of your own. A1Sports seems to be a target of your 1st grade rhetoric but at the end of the day, he has 10 times more substance than your jibberish banter.
Now how is this relevant? Very simple. I am at a party with about 25 people and we were having some fun ripping on the ABA and we kept coming to your posts against A1 and others and were like; Who the ^$% is Sam Hill? And how does he have the stones to rip on anyone? A question for the ages. No biggie.

That sounds like one lame ass party.
Anyone who predicted that the Fury would go any where is nuts, including Mark McClure. But everyone knew that all ready.

Ah, Marc McClure has returned to OSC. I should have recognized that foul stench a mile away.

You left out the part where I was right and Mark McClure was a moron.
Nice PM from our boy:
Dude, your a ****ing pussy. Now, go ahead and "report me" me to OSC but the fact remains your a ****ing spinless, low lie piece of **** who hides behind his computer name. ****ing fag.
Hi, Mark!
Never reported you to OSC. Until today I never noticed you.

Dude,
Seriously.
Try some breathing excercises, read a book, take a long walk, switch to decaf.
Relax.

The truth of the matter is, Mark McClure likes to stir the pot. He chastises others for "hiding behind screen names," yet by my last count he hid behind maybe 8 different nom de plumes on OSC, including pretending to be an actuary for Charles Barkley (Barkley34), a guy from Peoria named Chuck Sechler (Chuck43), a guy who was enamored with the Phoenix Fury (indyrocks) and this latest nhamilton88 identity, as well as operating under variations of his nickname. He would tout how great a basketball person he was, noting the grand success of the Portland Mountain Cats, and then throw in a plug for his overpriced motivational seminars and useless-for-anything-but-a-coaster CD's.
If someone challenges him or questions his information, he becomes extremely hostile, insulting, vulgar - sort of like the bully at recess. He started by attacking Sam Hill a few years ago, then he went after me. Before Paul Reeths posted everybody's IP location, he actually thought he could post under three separate aliases and have the two aliases tout how great Mark McClure was, then the third "alias" would acknowledge the accolades.
But see, Mark McClure can't keep his mouth shut for very long. Sooner or later, if people aren't paying attention to him, he starts to get a bit pushy. Case in point - this thread, where he attacks, for what must be the 500th time, Sam Hill.
Now I may not agree with everything Sam Hill says (he's gotten tired of the Utica Wreckers posts), but I believe we both respect each others' opinions. Not so McClure. I've dealt with this toad on numerous occasions, he's been vicious and hostile to me both on OSC and through my personal e-mail account - including attacking my e-mail with one account and then 5 minutes later posting under a separate account and stating that his previous e-mail account was hacked.
One of the biggest problems people have on this board is multiple identities of singular posters. Don't go on this board and say your real name is Archie when your profile says your name is Reggie. That not only gets us angry, it ruins your credibility for years. Don't go on here and say you're a "fan" of a new team when in fact you're the team's general manager and are hoping to drum up support on OSC through a phony fan base. That turns us off of supporting your team faster than a dessert of chocolate sauce on a turnip.
We're not asking you to post your social security number to prove your identity; we don't want you to scan your driver's license and e-mail it to us. If you're a poster, be a poster. But be one poster, not someone with more identities than Sybil.
And a word to anyone who attacks me via my personal e-mails - anything coming from OSC that even faintly sounds like a personal attack gets immediately forwarded to Paul Reeths. 'Kay?
Oh, and as for Mark McClure - Hasta Manana, cucaracha.

I'm with ya, Chuck. No worries, bro. I respect your chops.
The other guy...well, he got a big crowd for the Portland Mountain Cats opener. Once. A long time ago. Since then he's been the unluckiest guy ever...everything he's ever done has been great, but has been undermined by someone else! It's unreal how much bad luck a good person can have.
You'd think if you were really one of the top five business experts in the world, you'd have written a book, right? Maybe? Instead of just an audio CD from eight years ago? I mean Miley Cyrus has written a fricking book, for hell's sake.

What he doesn't tell you is that he had to send that crowd home without even watching a full game. The opposing team walked off the court. Turns out he didn't even have the means to have the floor correctly installed over the ice surface. Players were slipping all over a super wet floor. I think his team would have been a better fit in the ABA, or having never existed at all.

Here is my favourite quote from this article:
Where they play in Fort Worth may still be an issue. McClure, who announced on his Web site that he has a verbal agreement to use the convention center, said in an interview he may build his own arena and a boutique hotel downtown.
How is that arena coming? This guy is no different than any other joke ABA owner.
Sam Hill

If he builds the boutique hotel, at least we know of one bellhop who will go work there in an instant. Mark McClure is really, really nice to bellhops.

He was at a party with 25 people? How did the party start up? "Hi, my name is Mark, and I'm an alcoholic..."
