In '09, it'll be the Earthquakes and Sounders competing for the Cup, since they have the names of former NASL teams. Since Vancouver and Portland are presumed to be keeping the Whitecaps and Timbers names, they'll likely join in that derby once they join the leaguein '11.

Point well taken. I had forgotten about that one. So do you think they will stay at 2 conferences (probably sending Houston to the East) or go to 3?
