It was like the good old days of hockey in Trenton last Saturday night as Bertoli's #19 was retired in a very well done ceremony with a nice video
presentation. Bertoli, nicknamed "The Franchise", was the first player ever signed by Trenton in 1997. Bertoli played with Trenton until 2007 setting numerous franchise records.

A lot of former Trenton Titans fans returned to the SBA. In fact, the crowd of 6,000 was similar to what the Titans used to draw for weekend games.

Now, of course...the Trenton Devils rank near the bottom of the ECHL in attendance. Apparently, a lot of former Titans fans are also Flyers fans that have no interest in cheering for a Devils team.

The other interesting topic at the game is the fate of the Philly Phantoms.
I heard Pittsburgh, Springfield, MA, Trenton and even AC (despite Philly's denial that they want no part of AC) as temporary homes until a Lehigh Valley arena is completed in two years.
