Does anybody think Norfolk Virginia will join the AIFL in 2006?

I think everyone is just positioning themselves to get into the AF2, but then it does look like the NIFL is getting stronger.
It would be nice if a relegation system were adopted though.

I think the AIFL will make it through the first year. But let's see how, at least, the first week goes before we predict expansion teams. :wink:

I think you are mistaken there. The AF2 works under an economic model that is prohibitive for many smaller markets, and from the complaints I hear, they don't get a whole lot for their franchise fee money. If everyone is positioning to join the AF2, why would two teams have bolted from AF2 to join the new league, UIF?
If anything, I think the AF2 is tottering and scrambling to survive.
It would be nice if a relegation system were adopted though.
What does that mean?
