Game Preview:
Arch-rivals will collide at Wings Stadium, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Fort Wayne Komets. Despite losing to the Komets last Friday, the K-Wings still hold a 5-3-0-0 season lead over Fort Wayne. All-time in their IHL history, the K-Wings are 127-127-31-2 against the Komets.

Coming off an overtime victory over Muskegon last Saturday, Kalamazoo enters the night tied with the Lumberjacks for second place in the league. The K-Wings are also just one point ahead of the Komets, who are in fourth.

Undefeated in regulation in their last three games, Fort Wayne is 4-4-0-2 in their last ten games. The Komets will get a boost to their lineup tonight, as forward Mathieu Curadeau returns to Fort Wayne after spending the past six games in the AHL. Curadeau has 21 points in 15 games with the Komets.

All-Time/ Season Series:
All-Time IHL Series Tied: 127-127-31-2

Season Series:
K-Wings Lead Season Series: 5-3-0-0

Last Meeting:
K-Wings Lost 2-0 January 16th @ Allen County Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, IN

Unexpected Closer:
Rookie defenseman Rob Jarvis has been chipping in offensively as of late. Jarvis has three game winning goals, tying him with forwards Glenn Detulleo and Lucas Drake. He trails only Jamie Lovell of the Port Huron IceHawks for game-winning goals among defenseman.

Perfect in the Extra Session:
With two victories in overtime this week for the Kalamazoo Wings, they continue their dominance in the extra session. The K-Wings are now 4-0 in overtime and 2-0 when taken to a shootout. They are the only team in the league to boast an undefeated record in overtime.

Holding the Lead:
The K-Wings are undefeated when leading after two periods at home. With a 9-0-0-0 record when leading after two the K-Wings make Wings Stadium a hard place for visiting teams to make a comeback.

Most Exciting Play in Sport:
So far on the season the K-Wings have participated in a league-high five penalty shots (three for and two against). With games tied in the third period and with less than six minutes remaining, Kalamazoo stopped penalty shots against two of the three top scorers in the league last week (Steve Rymsha and Todd Robinson) to force overtime and eventual victories for the K-Wings.
