Are there any news of the NWFA or the WPFL planning to have an expansion team in Chicago? :?:

i have heard nothing about a chicago team in the nwfa. does not mean that it will not happen. there is a team in the iwfl there. i take it you are looking for something other than that?

If the NWFA hasn't announce a Chicago team, then why OSC has the Chicago listing in the NWFA section?

everything is locked in for this year, so i know it will not be this year. the osc website also has springfield,mo and last i heard that location was dropped. osc still has panama city listed also and they folded according to a pensacola article.
again, i am only saying to the best of my knowledge there is not going to be a team in chicago. unless there are problems with the chicago force and that team is looking to split, i cannot see anyone successfully putting another team there. i guess we both shall see.

I hope so! Why doesn't the IWFL get bought out buy the NWFA?

neither league has established itself as THE league, not yet. you have 2 horses that see themselves as being better than the other. neither wants to give in to the other (buy out). who knows what the future will hold.

Will the NFL buy out the NWFA?

who knows what the future will hold in dealing with the nfl. they know about the nwfa. after our second year, they came after us and made us change our name from the nwfl and change 2 of our team logos. within that deal were some other things to include an nwfa ad in the superbowl program (that is the only thing i know of that we got, i am sure there were other things). no one is holding their breath for the nfl to buy us. it took over 10 years before the nfl bought arena football...

I've been waiting to support a women's football team, but who is spending the money to get a team marketed? I haven't so much as seen a link yet.
