I'm new to this ABA site, so I don't know what has went on in the past. Have they ever tried to schedule on a regonial format and cluster games since it seems to be such a hassle to show up for games. This would cut down on travel costs, and teams might actually show up. I went to a WV WILD game and the other team from MISSissippi didn't bother to show up. There was no one at the arena. If you schedule all of your games within a certain area lets say 5 hours or no more than 8 hours you could save on hotel bills and some other costs. Just a Thought.

It's been thought of before.
Teams not showing up has been the 'norm' over the past few years. There have been teams (now in other leagues) that found opponants when the scheduled team folded, didn't want to travel, or whatever excuse they come up with. Unfortunately, they were few and far between.
You'll soon realize that the word "cluster" accurately describes the ABA, but you'll have to put a 4 letter "colorful verb" behind it for it's true meaning.

Oh, you mean something like this:
By adding more teams that are geographically close, teams can save money by taking “ground transportation” to away games

or this:
The goal is to create regional rivalries keeping travel costs to a minimum.

or this:
The ABA's strategy is to have as many teams as possible in a geographical cluster, thus cutting travel expenses

and so on...

A couple of great lines from the LA Times article...
"The SoCal Legends, owned by former Clippers point guard Gary Grant, played extra games against the L.A. Aftershock last season after the Legends canceled six home games when opposing teams never showed up. Grant said the league offered to repay him for those lost home dates. “I haven’t seen a dime yet,” he said." How many owners had said that before, and have said that since??
"When the Florida Pit Bulls played host to last year’s All-Star game, they were left with a hefty bill and were later promised reimbursement from the league that has never materialized."
“They take no liability for anything,” he said of the ABA. “That’s the problem. These teams come in and nobody is held accountable.” Teflon Joe at work.
“People can buy a franchise with their credit card,” said Florida Pit Bulls owner Demetrius Ford. His team also defected to the CBA. Of course, you could be like the last Hawaii team and charge $10,000 for season tickets and disappear...
“I know I’ll have some bad owners" And an even worse CEO...
