Rockford skates six game point streak into Week 15
Week 14 Recap -
One bad period didn’t damper Week 14 for the Rockford IceHogs. After giving up five goals in the first period on Wednesday in Grand Rapids, Rockford allowed just one goal in the following seven periods and an overtime while gaining five out of a possible six standings points. The IceHogs hit the halfway mark of the 2008-09 regular season this week and currently sit in second place in the AHL’s West Division.

Corey Crawford helped backstop the IceHogs to a 2-0-0-1 week during Week 14 of the 2008-09 AHL regular season. Crawford began the week by helping the Hogs comeback against Grand Rapids on the road on Wednesday. Down 4-2 when he entered the game, Crawford kept Rockford in the contest after turning away 37 of 38 Griffins shots in a shootout loss. On Friday, Crawford blocked 34 of 35 Chicago Wolves shots to earn his 100th career AHL win and then followed that up with a 24 save shutout, his first blanking of the season, over the Toronto Marlies on Saturday.
