Of course they can outsell the ABA franchise in Austin because there is no franchise in Austin (that anybody knows about).

Someone at the channel 12 "I missed it" Newsteam got snowed on this one.

The Mustangs claim they are drawing 500 a game.

The Austin D-League team, which actually lists attendances in the box score, has 20,373 for 11 home games, an average of 1,852. Not great, but better than 500 a game. The Toros have a high of 2,505.

Blows me away how the TV news reporter couldn't dig a little deeper and realize that even at 500 fans a night (which they are not getting) you are going to lose money. Must not be paying ANY rent whatsoever....

If there is not an ABA team in Austin (and to be honest, I don't know and don't care) then it is an attempt make people think that they are in the D-league with Austin.

Whatever works...they got media coverage...
