Why would anyone pay 20K to be in a rec league? If I payed that fee and their was still no schedule, i would take so kind of legal action against the League, If you can call it one. Could they sue for Fraud? Just wondering.

Is anyone paying $20k? I've talked to several ABA owners who were given their teams and several others who were paying a reduced market reservation fee on installments.

Still shoud their not be some type of legal action if the so called organization dosn't follow through on a schedule or games or accountability

I would imagine.
Good luck with that, though. Not that you couldn't potentially prevail, but our legal system is tortuously slow and you might find it a pyrrhic victory.

Ignoring the potential merits of a suit, I don't believe many of the jilted ABA owners have the cash or will to fight a protracted legal battle.

Considering they don't have the cash for uniforms or travel or employees and stuff, that wouldn't be surprising.

I'm just amazed that people would continue to join a league that provides you with nothing. I bet Joe hopes teams fold, so he can get whatever the fee is for that area from another potenential owner. I guess people think this is Fantasy sports, well I guess it is since there is no schedule. No wait, you must have actual games to have a fantasy league

We all used to be amazed.
Now we just accept it.
Near as we can tell, there's no lack of rappers and "entertainers" and former players who believe that they can own and run their own pro basketball team!
