How will the ABA survive this? If I owned a team and the other so called organization was a no show why would you travel to thier court. I guess I expect to much. Like a schedule or some accountability.

You ask a good question. Why should ABA teams travel to their away games? It costs money and doesn't really get you anything but good will and another game date. To be sure, the fact that they've promised to make their away games is enough incentive for some ABA owners, but it clearly hasn't been enough for many others. There is essentially no accountability for missing road games. The league rarely gives out forfeits, and what's the difference if they do, anyway? Just about anyone who's left in business at the end of the season makes the playoffs. See West Texas and Georgia last year, for instance. It is easy to make up an excuse or just not answer your phone for several days. If you're not scheduled to play the team you just canceled on at home later in the season, you're golden. If you are, pray they'll buy your excuse and not reciprocate.

Yes, you expected too much. History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of man. Godzilla.

After years of study, laughter and a dose of reality here is My Keys to Success in the "ABA*".
1. Buy each team two sets of uniforms.
2. Make the schedule.
3. Each team needs 20-24 players.
4. Ship the uniforms for the "visiting team" to wear.
5. This eliminates travel all togeather.
6. When the scores are final you can post your "away" games while your players are at the real jobs.
7. NO missed or canceled games!
8. Who cares if it is legitimate, it hasn't stopped the rec league for years.
Well there you have it the Keys to Success in the "ABA*".

It's a great idea, Jack, and sadly one that would only help the ABA (although clearly fraud).
BTW, it's copyright. To copy write is write news stories or advertisements (trust me on that one).
