From Arena Digest:
Only two minor-league teams are averaging more than 7,000 fans a game besides the Fort Wayne Komets: the amazing Hersey Bears (at 8.474 fans a game) and the Manitoba Moose (7,326), both AHL teams.

Won't happen - the IHL exists only because Fort Wayne's ownership doesn't want to affiliate with a union league. The AHL, ECHL and CHL are unionized. So it's either prop up their own league, or don't play at all.

U r sooo wrong. Ft. Wayne, K-zoo, Muskegon, and others want a bus league.
The cost of travel is outrageous. Look what a joke the ECHL is. Teams out west?
What the hell? Union is a big concern in the AHL but the Franke Bros. r prepared
if they have to move the team. Ticket prices would go up though, to cover all the
travel expence. That would make people in ultra conservative Ft. Wayne very
unhappy....

I'm actually impressed that the IHL returned all six teams for it's second
season. (I'm not counting the UHL years.)

Since 1985-86's American Indoor Soccer Association, I can't remember the
last upstart minor league to accomplish this.
