4) The ABA should should not be a part of any organized minor league hierarchy. Just over 38 percent of games played last year, league Chief Operating Officer Quentin Townsend arrested for fraud and forgery, 230+ teams that have folded or left in seven seasons, teams not showing up for games and players not getting paid is a disgrace to the game. How in the world can a fan base be developed if fans don't know if their team will be there from one day to the next? Just look at the ABA schedule. What's that, you can't find it? Well, neither can the media or the league's own teams.

And let's add another example of what basketball is like in the ABA ...

Mustangs win by 60 points for seventh straight win

There's winning ball games and then there's what the Southeast Texas Mustangs did to the Houston Takers on Sunday.

At halftime the Mustangs had a 50-point lead and never looked back as they beat, thumped and crushed the Takers 137-77 at Ford Arena.

"I mean, yeah, we knew we had a lead, but in the ABA anything can happen."

Something did happen during halftime as the Takers' players could be heard tossing around items and feverishly swearing in the team locker room.

These types of end games are not about developing players and creating a competitive environment.

Congrats to the Mustangs on the win ... but the ABA needs to leave the court as soon as possible!

A 50-point lead at halftime? Now that's a mismatch.

They must have been playing sixth graders to keep the margin of victory under 100.
