I didn't know the league made the schedule. I thought the owners kind of made it up on the fly with the assistance of the so-called regional chairmen, so I'm not sure how the league could tell a team where to play. They must have done something to p^%$ off Joe.

The question is do the Broncs and Blues have the same schedule information, particularly who is to host each game?
I seem to remember times when teams scheduled to play each other did not both know or they had different information as to locations, dates, and times.

This is one of Joe's favorite games.....
1/ some team folds/adjudicated-bankrupt/vanishes or simply never existed and a hole remains for a real team (ie Nashville)
2/ Joe contacts some other team (any other team) and says they are playing in 2 days
3/ if they kick up a fuss Joe promises' to make it up for them.
3a/ if they kick up a bigger fuss Joe tells them to do it or they are thrown out
3b/ if they still refuse Joe promises' to re-imburse them.
Ask Mother Williams how 3b works out.
Also at times like this Joe tends to revert to broad statements instead of actual verifiable claims. "Don't tell me it can't be done, show me ways in which we can do it" for example.
Finally Joe will also use the term "we" when asking your team to do something above and beyond (which is Joe-speak for "spending money"). However when the shoe is on the other foot and its your home game that is threatened Joe will say things like "do you know any teams in the area" or the old throwback "Don't you know a team who can cover" in a tone of voice that is slightly annoyed at being bothered.
Have fun in the ABA WV Wild, you'll need it.

One more thing...............................
the only defense is not answer the phone when caller id says "Connie Newmans Basement". Let Joe email you (he'll cc the entire league), then simply out wait the guy. He'll eventually call someone else (anyone else) when you don't respond.
Give it two days and then wait until the games are already past and email everyone else and say something like "Hi, I was in Mexico (Croatia, Finland, Burma, you know be creative) and was unable to read this until now, hope it all worked out"

The game against Nashville has been on the Wild site since the 30th, most likely longer than that. The original Nashville schedule (still on their site) listed away games against the Outlaws (who were replaced by the Wild) on Saturday and the Blazers on Sunday. So that game is not a last minute deal.
However, the Mississippi game is another matter. While the Wild do not list a game on the 4th, the Blues' site lists a game at Texas City.

ask the following former ABA teams... Buffalo, Rochester, Wilmington, Quebec
on how joe lies and promises to reimburse...
Thats why they are in a legit real league now..to many Joe lies..among a host of other ABA crap

Neither Nashville nor Mississippi showed up for their games in Charleston, West Virginia. The Broncs called 6 hours before tip-off to say they had transportation problems. The Wild got good publicity in the local newspapers and on radio and had a crowd at the venue for the non-game. Mississippi has not returned any calls nor have they answered their phone today. When contacted by the owner, Joe Newman was nonplussed about the situation. BTW, the Wild does not have the Blazers on their schedule although they are only fifty miles apart and the Blazers refuse to play the Wild. Again, Joe Newman was nonplussed.

Wow, even Nashville are missing road games now. It doesn't look like there are any really stable franchises in the ABA this year.

maybe this is why they aren't playing the Blazers:

There are currently 48 ABA teams, but the Blazers are it in the Mountain State. Preast hopes the state will accept this team as their own.
I guess someone with the Housing Authority doesn't know - or think - the Wild actually exist...

What the name of the venue that the WV Wild play their games in Charleston, WV?
The Blazers and the Wild don't play cause they refused to play any team with Daniel Hicks on the roster. They claim it will hurt their ticket sales... Lol!!!

The Wild were playing both games at the Ayash Sports Complex in St. Albans. The next home game against Georgia was slated for Huntington High School.
