I saw on ABALive that the Central (Valley) Dawgs have joined in the open letter writing spree and announced to the world that they are not playing anymore games this year despite their wealth of NBA-level talent and their "family" roots. They cited several reasons, none of which were not readily apparent to the average first grader at the beginning of the season. Oh well, another grand ownership group down the drain. But, in their words, they'll be back!!!

Joe, how many teams are left standing now? Joe should give up on the ABA dream and start a new reality TV show. This stuff would be good material

I saw that post too and then I looked at their record and in spite of losing 20 out of 23 games they did manage to keep it together that long. The ironic thing is there are teams that will be in the playoffs having played less games than the Dawgs!

By the way kudos to the Bellevue Blackhawks who really went out on a limb to take on Texas, Kansas City and then Arkansas twice while trying to make a playoff run of their own. That takes guts and they should be commended for playing through adversity.

Yeah, the "open letter" thing is all the rage in the ABA right now. Too bad all these "open" letters fail to address the true state of the teams and the league in general -- almost "closed."
