Week 10 Recap:
Two wins in three games kept Rockford in the thick of the West Division race that has six teams separated by just four points. After a 2-1 win over Iowa on Thursday, Rockford dropped a 4-2 affair in Milwaukee before blowing out the Chicago Wolves 7-2 Saturday at the MetroCentre. Saturday’s game featured Rockford’s annual Teddy Bear Toss for charity and Hogs fans tossed 1,331 stuffed animals onto the ice.

Thursday, Dec. 11: Iowa 1 vs. Rockford 2
Friday, Dec. 12: Rockford 2 at Milwaukee 4
Saturday, Dec. 13: Chicago 2 vs. Rockford 7

-The Rockford IceHogs are 3-0-0-0 in the third game in three days in 2008-09.
-Two of those wins came against the Chicago Wolves.
-Rockford has played three games in three days 12 times during their AHL era and has a record of 9-2-0-1.
-In 13 regular season meetings against the Chicago Wolves, the IceHogs had never led by more than two goals before Saturday’s 7-2 win and had not beaten Chicago by more than one tally.

Hot Hog Week 10:
Goaltender Corey Crawford won both of his starts for Rockford in Week 10 allowing just three goals in his two games. On Thursday, Crawford backstopped Rockford past the Iowa Chops 2-1, handing them their only regulation loss on a seven-game road swing. Crawford finished the week in impressive fashion making a team-season high 42 saves in Rockford’s win over the Chicago Wolves.
