HOGS AND ADMIRALS TO CLASH IN MILWAUKEE TONIGHT

Milwaukee, Wis.- These days teams can’t afford to miss a beat in the American Hockey League’s West Division. One loss can drop a team from first to fifth and a win vice versa. Tonight the Rockford IceHogs will travel to Milwaukee to face-off against the Admirals at 7 p.m. at the Bradley Center.
Just one point separates the IceHogs (14-8-0-2, 30pts) and the Admirals (14-7-0-1, 29pts). Both teams are chasing the Iowa Chops (158-1-1, 32pts), who Rockford defeated 2-1 on Thursday night.
Rockford has been able to keep in the thick of the tight West Division race with a 12-4-0-2 record against the division. Tonight marks Rockford’s 12th straight game against a West Division foe and the Hogs have compiled a record of 7-2-0-2 during the stretch. Overall, Rockford will play 23 straight against its own division through Jan. 7.
Milwaukee enters tonight’s game riding a three-game winning streak and has games-at-hand on every team in the division. The Admirals have played in an AHL low 22 games, two less than the IceHogs and despite sitting in fifth in the West with 29 points, Milwaukee has the division’s best winning percentage (.659).
Through three games this season, Rockford has had the upper hand on the Admirals racking up a 2-0-0-1 record including a pair of wins at the Bradley Center.
