Peters Wants Advantage Put Back In Power-Play

ROCKFORD — The Rockford IceHogs’ power play production was once a strong point on team, but it isn’t anymore.
Rockford, which battles the Iowa Chops on Thursday at the MetroCentre, will look to turn the tide. Rockford’s power play is 1-for-19 in the past four games and 0-for-14 in the past three.
In that four-game stretch, Rockford has given up seven goals on the penalty kill.
At Tuesday’s practice, IceHogs coach Bill Peters had his team going over the basics.
“It’s got to be better than that,” Peters said. “It’s been a strong point on our team all year. Now, it’s let us down a little bit. So we touched on some of the basics on what made us successful. We got to get back to doing the right things at the right time.”
