I know Muskegon had trouble last year ensuring everything was there financially for a trip to Maryland. They get another of those, and then a trip to Sioux Falls for good measure. Only this year, they don't get the rest of their opponents within a few hours...only a couple of those.
Cost is key, and the IFL isn't showing any signs of being cost-effective for its teams (especially compared to what other options they had).

Loved the merger, not sure about the scheduling. Travel budgets have killed many teams. Will be an interesting year...........

The biggest problem with the IFL schedule may be summed up in two lines:
Thursday, April 2 - Maryland at Fairbanks
Thursday, April 9 - Maryland at Alaska
So an East Coast team has to get from Maryland to Alaska, stay a week, play two games, and get back. Who, exactly, is paying for this?
Billings, Rochester, and Bloomington are doing the same thing (Billings actually plays *three* games in the state in May, and hosts Alaska in between trips). I'm sure they had a good reason for sending Rochester and Maryland instead of... say... Sioux City and Sioux Falls... and Alaska is making single-game return trips to Rochester and Maryland... but the question remains. Who's paying for the travel? I can't imagine any indoor football team is making the kind of money it would take to pay for these trips... are they?

The Ifl and the indoor football leagues ,in general, seem to be more stable than whats happening in the Afl. To answer your question of travel, the league has secured the necessary agreements to make this work. My suggestion is to watch the year unfold. Im sure you will feel comfortable that all games will be played.

Since there back to back, they will probably just stay in Alaska for the week instead of making two trips

The San Andreas fault seems to be more stable than the AFL right now.

The Alaskan teams cover the cost. This is how it opperated in the IFL in the past, this is how minor league hockey and junior hockey operate as well.

I hope some boosters for those two Alaskan teams are doing the right thing and helping get places for the players to crash at night. Not that it's dark that long that time of year.

Why would the players not stay at the team provided housing?
