Robbie has company, looks like Mr. Weekly Sports report ( Dan) is another Joe stooge. What does the ABA logo have to do with USA sports? Why so the infrequent mentioning of the PBL and or CBA? Why even write about the rec league ABA in the same column as legitimate sports leagues? Oh yes..you and Joe go way back.....
Another Joe puppet. Does anyone have any ethics?
Hey Dan... As Joe would say...shamefull !!
Curious what you would say why you include the ABA when no one recongnizes it as a legitimate league?

This is just a shot in the dark, but OSC recognizes the ABA, too. (I dunno, maybe just as a warning?) So is Reeths a stooge, too?
Not to mention the WSR mentions leagues that do not get recognized by OSC but might be of interest to us.
I think you're way overreaching. I skip over any references to the ABA in that or any other report. There's still plenty of other sports in there, too.

I think Paul should put the ABA in another line....not keep it with the other ligit leagues. Paul posting all this crap about the ABA serves a purpose. He may be stopping one person from wasting 10k, 15 k or even 1k from the scam.
Weekly sports report does nothing to deter anyone.

Weekly sports report does nothing to deter anyone.
It's not supposed to deter; it is a list of news items from around various minor leagues.
The articles Chris has written for OSC about the ABA's myriad issues should serve as a deterrent.
The multiple postings on this board - which appear in Google searches - that highlight the unmitigated disaster that is Joe and Dick's folly should serve as a deterrent.
Every single press release issued by the Gwizz or the Showboats or the Rebels should serve as a deterrent.
The league's own website - lacking in the most basic of necessary information three weeks AFTER the season began - should serve as a deterrent.
The information and warning flags are out there, easily accessible to the most basic computer users.
The fact that these people STILL join up with Joe is not the fault of Paul, or the Weekly Report, or Robbie's show.
The fault lies in their mirror, for believing the lies in Indianapolis.

I'm sure Paul will take your suggestion under advisement.
As soon as you invest in the site.
Weekly sports report does nothing to deter anyone.
Your open letters to Joe and other people, however, are doing a bang-up job.

and Robbie is not a "stooge".
Nobody is trying to paint him as the next coming of Tim Russert, Brent Sadler or Walter Cronkite but the guy is not a "stooge". Joes' or anyone else.
He doesn't need me to defend him but in my book he is the only one who has consistently got serious questions asked of Joe and is willing to ask what ever we send him to the basement CEO.

And Dan certainly isn't either. He takes a rather dispassionate look at leagues across the country. How someone reads anything more into it than that, I have no idea.

Thanks for the defense Paul. I receive various emails from such "senior members" as the a1sports-types of readers that must have an agenda for some specific league.
As I have told you, I simply report what is public knowledge taken from various news articles, press releases, team sites and message boards as it affects league alignments, franchise movements, team nicknames and various proposed leagues on the horizon. The article is specific in nature to this particular area of sports information and not intended to report on every activity of every league. The ABA, like indoor football's former NIFL, seems to get an inordinate amount of coverage in their respective sport because they have the most activity. I don't explain it, I don't have any agenda for any particular league, I just report.
As I have suggested to some of the readers who don't like my coverage of their particular league, they should consider submitting their own article to OSC to get their points across.
