According to the Jersey Express schedule/results page, they played the Alexandria Avengers and not Westchester.
*Sat. November 15th 7:00 PM Alexandria Avengers 88 - 89
The Phantoms are still listed on Jersey schedule.

Is this our first replacement game of the season? Did Jersey lose to a non-league team? Not sure if it is related, but the Phantoms website has been disabled.

They had one last year with a roster, player profiles and stats.

I have to believe the Avengers were a last-minute fill-in. They still don't have the game against Jersey from this past weekend up on their schedule:

Express suffers heartbreaker in home opener

Wow ...
Not even two weeks into the regular season (Or the, Pre-Pre-season, as the ABA CEO has called it  ) ... and the ABA will not play 100% of their official scheduled league games.
The #1 goal that they set for themselves; as a league; they will not attain.
This is truly an Amateur Basketball Association.

Two of the first five words on the Avengers web site are misspelled, including the team name. Are grammar and spelling no longer taught in schools these days?

Marsha Blount was one of the few ABA owners from last season that remains,
and put up with the ABA antics from the basement, and owners from her
region last season. With all of the pre-season "we are going to find our-
selves a foothold" type of hype from the Express; this can't bode very well
for the few Express fans that go to games. Once again the question will
remain up to game time..."Is our scheduled opponent going to show???"
...or worse yet. "Is a game going to be played?"
Maybe the local movie theatre can give discounts for fans with
tickets on unplayed game nights.
:confused:Westchester was a constant in pulling this last season...Why are they back???
:p ABA teams playing NPBL teams? Bring on the Elmira Bulldogs!!! :p

Paul has the link on the Westchester ABA page on OSC. Joe does not....or
'Q', or whoever is responsible for ABAlive this week.

The home page has been disabled forever it seems. Some of the links show
a roster and schedule from 2007. If memory serves, the page appeared
pretty late in the regular season last year.
Are Daisy Brand and Teresa Weatherspoon still on board??? Nothing from this
team in almost a year.
:( At least the name fits.

It did, not long after the new year I think.

I wouldn't put much stock in the lack of updates on their website. They played 10 games (5-5) in the NPBL without any mention of them.
