Heard you were adding part of another team to your stable. Way to Go!
That'll give you 3.5 teams. You know, when I was in the NIFL, Tony Pewonski had that many teams. It didn't work out for anyone involved with him, but I'm confident you can pull it off.
Anyway, you have a great day!

Dan, I appreciate your vote of confidence, assuming that it wasn't meant in sarcasm.
One major difference, I'm not Tony Pewonski. The other difference is that Allegiance Pro Sports is comprised of multiple managing partners. I'm not one person running multiple teams, contrary to what you may think. And as for that other team you are referring to, the only thing that has changed there is the ownership structure. Like Odessa, it is a franchise that has operated successfully for five seasons now. Everything management-wise is staying in tact from the top down.

Don't be so sensitive, phy-baby. Just pointing out history, that's all.
If anyone can pull this off in West Texas, it's you.
Did you ever get that new turf for Odessa yet?

Believe me, that is a major priority and concern. We have made arrangements for Sportexe to come out and take a look at it. They believe that with a few repairs and patches that we can get another two to four season's use out of it. However, our goal is to have brand new turf in place by no later than the 2010 season.

Did I miss something here. Is DaytonaDan no longer associated with the IFL? He seems to be taking shots at the league.

I really hope that goes well, Phy baby. That turf in Odessa was dangerous in some spots, with holes that went down to the arena floor and duct tape keeping it together in others. The whole league had concerns about playing on that turf.
If you need me to send you those numbers again for available turf, I'm always glad to help.

Me take shots. I only speak the truth.
For the record, I am currently non indoor-football affiliated and serve as a humble sports writer for a newspaper in McKinney, Tex. I'm having a blast covering Texas High School football and have seen some indoor football type games, including a 65-64 game last month. I'll be at Texas Stadium Saturday watching Euless Trinity, the number one team in the nation, in its playoff game.
I left Frisco in September in a mutual parting of the ways. With the season over, there's not a lot of PR to do and season ticket cold-calling wasn't my cup of caffeine-free coke. I did enjoy my time with the Thunder, though. In 2010, it can be the best market for indoor football in the country, I trully believe that.
I had a couple of informal chats with the IFL regime about the league-wide gig, but they remain adamant about having everything based in Richmond, Va., and I have a step-grandchild entering the world in April. Where do you think I need to be at this time in my life?
It would be a great thrill to be doing league-wide communications again and I trully believe the communication plan we devised in that great one-and-done, the WIFL, will give af2 a run for its money. Alas, the ball is in their possession.
I do know that the IFL regime is talking with a colleague of mine who has senior level AFL experience. He'd do an outstanding job, and I hope that the powers-that-be realize what they current have budgeted for a league-wide communication director is not in line with even minor league professional communication standards.
Have a good day everyone.Say hi to your mother for me.
