1) Is any indoor football executive worth $56K? $92K?

2) Wouldn't it make sense to have your league headquarters in either A) A major media market B) A city with an airport that serves as an airline hub C) Has an established franchise in the league your running?

3) If you were launching a league with a national footprint, wouldn't it behoove you to budget to hire staff with national experience?

I'm looking forward to seeing the discussion.

1) If the league were truly established and was a highly professional league that operated as such (something we don't have), it'd probably be worth $56K. As such, these leagues should be used for developmental purposes from the top to the bottom, so $92K is probably pushing it.

2) I don't think the major media market matters. Major media will never care about this sport. Airline hub would be helpful, but also not necessary. Having an established franchise would also be nice, but not necessary.

3) Not necessarily. The theory of having a "developmental" league should not end just with people that put pads and headphones on 12-14 times a year. In my opinion, having staff with national experience is not necessary, so long as at least one person there (perhaps the one making the $50,000) has some of it to guide people.

1. Only if it's a sales person out there drumming up hundreds of thousands of dollars for the league in the area of advertising and sponsorships. Other than that, I'll work from my office for $35,000. :)

2. A) Major media market is worthless for reason Exit mentioned. B) Airport would be nice if all league meeting are held where the headquarters are located. C) Convenient for the team located there, but other than that . . . ?

3. Yes, to a degree. Anyone working for the league office should have some kind of national experience or the knowledge that their ideas and concepts need to work across the board. This is a tough challenge due to city size variations within the indoor world. It would be ideal to have someone who knows what works in a small town as well as those in or around major cities.
