Mike Richards?....the guy has been dealing blackjack at one of the gambling boats in the St. Louis area for the last two years. Wonder what he's doing there, I would have thought he would have tried out for the new MWHL team we're supposed to be getting here in St Louis.

The MWHL is now a three team league that has been pretty much dead since Evansville left. There hasn't been any info out of the St. Louis team and it could be that Firriolo knew of the guy and really liked him (highly likely since they only have 6 d-men on the roster and he could easily have a job if they don't sign a AA cast-off or two).

Info on the St. Louis team was hard to come by, but I found out a few things that checked out at the time, but nothing on the team or league since Evansville left. Richards was like a spare defenseman here with the River Otters in 05-06, didn't look out of place here, so he'll probably be an all star in that league.
