Jersey lost a burner to KC Saturday around 114-108 in Pennsylvania...I would venture to say that if the players for Jersey had not have been subjected to the tiring treatment and delays that have befallen them, they would have won this one handily...team officials have stated that the rest of the team's home games will be played in PA, and that PA will be the teams new home for "years" to come... Jersey ended the game with 6 players Saturday (started with 7 but one got slightly injured). However, Cleotis Brown did lead them in scoring with about 44 points.....Once they get all of their players settled, I wouldn't be suprised to see this team fighting for the ABA Championship.

The Squires are done, at least in Asbury Park.

Apparently the game the other day was another one of those ABA 'stealth' games that could have happened, could have been made up, we don't know.

Good lord what an article!

"I feel like I lost the battle but won the war," Benitez said. "It was a difficult few months and now we've lost our jobs, but I helped expose Wayne Butler and the ABA for what they are."

The story about the Jersey team was a good read...

I guess that Joe Newman is ready to come out of the shadows and be the commissioner for the league again. Nice to see you back...

Second, while the ABA claims that the NBA is following their lead...they are taking a page out of the NFL's playbook by having the Jersey Squires play their home games....In Pennsylvania! If it's good enough for the Jets and Giants, it is surely good enough for the Squires!

Well, apparently they played last night in Jersey (or should I say Pennsylvania).

I wanted to go to the game, but Pennsylvania is a pretty large state and I spent the whole night driving around looking for it without any success. Did anyone else find the new venue?

They should be there again tonight. How about I make up the score this time..... let's say Juarez 110, Jersey 109 and make it look like a close one!!!

Are the rest of the teams in this league really so fraille that they need to have Jersey in their league???

Jersey dropped this one 115 to 108...They will meet up again tonight at around 7:00 EST...Side note, Cleotis Brown scored 31 in the lost last night. This team is still working on placing a squad around this guy. Over the last four games he has averaged 29 points. Remember that this team hasn't practiced as much as they should have because of the adversity that they have faced...Let these guys gel and look out.........

Apparently they played Saturday at Philadelphia University's Bucky Harris Gymnasium (capacity 850), but played last night at Neumann College (where the gym seats 300) in Philadelphia and will play somewhere else tonight. PhilU has no plans to have them back.

We are working on a story for our website and will have details on what's going on with the Squires as soon as we have all the information.
