What are the barriers to entry for the better ABA franchises to move to the CBA? Is there a penalty for leaving the ABA? (I'd love to see Mr Newman enforce one if it exists) What is the franchise fee for the CBA? Which teams should make this move - Arkansas, Utah, Nashville, others?

I'd think the better teams of the ABA would have a better shot at breaking off and forming their own league at this point. I doubt Joe could do anything about it, since teams are comin' and goin' at a weekly rate. I'd think the CBA would be a bit hesitant before it would accept any of the ABA franchises. Then again, maybe if the CBA and the good franchises of the ABA got together, then they could form the nucleus of a truly viable minor league basketball league.
